My paintings are rooted in this place where the forest changes by the foot, from field to pines to rocky outcrops to unending stands of sugar maple, birch, poplar...making Fall an absolute cacophony of colour. Which is why I paint the Winter - calm and contemplative, beautiful and serene and strong.
