Empires have risen and crumbled, movements have been crushed and reborn, but the pulse of those who refuse to surrender to despair, to hatred, to silence ꟷ has never stopped. If you are here, breathing, bearing witness, holding onto even the smallest ember of hope, then you are part of that unbroken lineage. No single moment, no single leader, no single election is the sum of what we are or what we can be.

We don't know who wrote this but it resonates. Keep holding on to that ember of hope. Goodnight friends. Get some rest. We rise to fight again tomorrow.

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.
