once a month I get asked if I am shoe’s secret alt pop culture channel and I never understood how people got us confused until this moment I’m shook

This could be fixed if more trained journalists were given the tools by their networks to familiarize themselves with internet culture and actually reach people on the platforms they’re at but. Nah. Just nah

Having thoughts lately about how it’s normal for people my age and younger to get their news and world views exclusively from streamers and creators, so it means that they’re never free of the drama slop machine. And so in their mind drama slop and news coverage hold equal value

I’d like to do some kind of fundraising stream ahead of the holidays to support folks who will be affected by the SNAP cuts. Would love to use the money to buy some much needed pantry items. Idk how to go about this so if any creator moots have done it before/are interested lmk

You do not have to have an opinion on everything especially when you don’t have all of the information!! Having a TikTok account does not make you an authority on what a real victim is!! No one is preventing “real” victims from getting justice!! They can’t get it themselves!!

A few people have asked me to speak on that DoorDash ass*ult case and my take is that so many of you are driven by the need to be a contrarian and speak about how women/poc/any marginalized group are making “real victims” “look bad” when really you could just…not speak
