Why would anyone vote for this multi faced reprobate and disgrace to the Constitution he swore an oath to protect and preserve. He's a coward. He's a liar (remember his promise when he blocked Garland's nomination to the SC?). He's a disgrace to everything he's supposed to represent.

To be fair, Jake Tapper has probably written a book, but he's only going to publish it, when it no longer matters

If he was even half as smart as he thinks he is (which would still be twice as smart as he really is), he'd know the difference between an IQ test and a check for dementia. I doubt that he even knows what IQ stands for. This is the same fool who claims he can reduce prices by 1500%.

If I was one, I would. Fortunately, they seem to be so stupid, most, probably, won't.

He's in denial about most of his life, business and politics. He had an entitled childhood/adolescence. His skills are minimal. Who goes bankrupt with casinos? Who thinks you can reduce prices by 1500% How can you think an import tax is paid by the exporter? Sadly, his base is on his level.

Well, you do seem to prove your own final comment. Every fan at every club will point to incidents to prove that this isn't Arsenal centric. It's not a conspiracy; officials are poor at every level of the game and, when it is available, VAR doesn't correct all the errors.

How terribly, terribly sad that America has become the equivalent of a banana republic with a corrupt elite, making an unelected military, potentially, considering a coup for the sake of the Country they swore to protect. @republican.gov, are you proud of your spineless betrayal, yet?

"Can't reach deal". Not true. @senategop.gov refused to negotiate. Thune wants to blame @senatedemocrats.gov for not kicking the can down the road & negotiate at some unspecified point in the future. The GOP cannot be trusted. Their failure in both Congress and Senate is there for all to see.

Of course it will hurt the GOP but as @senategop.gov and @housegop.gov have shown themselves unwilling or incapable (or both) of holding the wannabe dictator to account, something needs to change. However, as Trump has shown, his word is worthless so commitments not promises are required.

What's the betting that it won't include a single Trump reference but the entire Biden clan get a mention. Comer has shown, time and time again, that he's completely under the control of the sexual predator in chief. Let the victims produce that list, without political interference.

Let's go public about sensitive and hypocritical MAGAmaniacs. Let's also remember that it's the media organisations that allow this, not for the good of audiences but for corporate gain. They are as spineless as those politicians who were elected to serve all Americans, not just one combover conman.

He is correct in criticising this administration's war on anti-Maga speech. That said, those corporations who bend the knee for corporate greed are more responsible. Mergers can wait. Audiences won't boycott but they should. They don't have to miss out on favourite shows; there are ways to do both.

So Brian Kilmeade gets away with the lamest of apologies for recommending the wholesale murder of thousands of homeless people while Jimmy Kimmel has his show pulled just because he disagrees with the right wing rhetoric about Kirk? What an awful country America has become.

It hurts the Country, now. Trump is unlikely to care about the long term implications but the complete lack of foresight by the ever spineless, cowardly @senategop.govpeeps.us & @housegop.bsky.social is astonishing. One would hope that @democrat.senate.gov would think of America & not self-interest

That motto, as you call it, was actually a rallying cry at the conference. As I said, I've no issue with the sentiment: Indeed, it should be the ideal. This administration needs a different attitude from senior Democrats, not least Schumer and Jeffries.

A shutdown does damage to those who need protection but it will, also impair Trump's ability to destroy. More importantly, not supporting was an opportunity to get some proper structure. Voting has failed to curtail anything. That power was handed over, without a fight.

As for comparison between the two, that IS my point. In 1.0, the country was protected from his extreme behaviour thanks to professionals in office. Now there are a bunch of spineless sycophants, Democrats need to understand that normal political rules no longer apply

So you don't know about history, you can't work a calendar and your comprehension skills are non existent. The Trump 1.0 shutdown was the longest, EVER, in ALL US history. When the longest happened is irrelevant, though. The salient point was that it lasted 35 days. That vote was in March. 🤦‍♂️

05.09.2025 12:13 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

Ahh yes, there's your level of debate. Maybe you're another one who never studied enough history. The longest ever shutdown was in Trumps first term and it was just over a month. His vote was cast in March. Do you not understand how a calendar works, either? Again, both Chuck & Mitch failed America.

Don't be ridiculous. The vote was months ago and any shutdown would have been resolved, by now. However admirable Michelle Obama's aim to "go higher", that is pure naivety with this administration. Fire with fire is needed. The rule book has been shredded and the Country is paying the price.

The courts would not have, instantly, stopped in a shutdown. Relying on others, though, is no more an acceptable defence for Schumer than it was for McConnell when he refused to vote, and influence others to vote, for the impeachment of Trump after Jan 6th.

Happy to. Hold on, Hannity won't take my call'cos he's never heard of me. Let's try Maddow. Nope. In a meeting. Your comment is plain silly. Political leaders have a platform. No-one is pushing a microphone in front of me.

Seriously? When was the last time good old Chuck paused his book tour to say anything of note? The newer members are the ones making the noise. The judiciary is holding Trump & Co to account.

I just read an article by Lev Parnas claiming Trump is panicking over survivors naming names. That can't be true? Why would he be worried about a Democratic hoax and identification of Clinton's visits to the island and elsewhere? 🤔

04.09.2025 12:26 — 👍 4    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

The silence is deafening, not least from Schumer and Jeffries. It's not enough to rely on the judiciary and hope they flip one or both houses at the end of next year. They need to remember that the first country Hitler invaded wasn't Poland; it was Germany.

Just right. Far better to stick with someone who can't score from 3 feet out and who's £75m "value" is already falling. I appreciate it's early days but the fact remains that after 3 games, our £200m investment in forwards has produced 1 late goal against a League 2 team.

Their spot should be earned by performing in matches and I don't care how Ugarte does in training; on games he's mostly dreadful

27.08.2025 08:24 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

No-one should play alongside Ugarte. His 1 in 15 games 7/10 performance doesn't make up for all the other 3/10 debacles.

You're absolutely right. Sadly, FIFA, under Infantino comes across as increasingly corrupt. This is the man who was unable to get Trump off the platform at the Club World Cup and, if pictures are to be believed, take a winners medal. It won't move.
