Ami, a part-time model, reassures Minori--who is self-conscious overhearing others talk about the romantic implications of buying a picture of someone, having selected a picture of Ryuuji and her holding hands--that people buy her pictures all the time and it doesn't mean anything: "In the end, it's just a picture."

Minori hesitates pondering Ami's reassurance: "Uh-huh, just a picture..."

I like to think this exchange was about #200 and not #85 though. Maybe Ami could tell or had overheard that she wanted it and was trying to tell her it's okay to add it to her order form. After all, she definitely knew the significance of #85; otherwise, this conversation wouldn't make any sense.

In the 14th episode of Toradora, Minori and Taiga (and Ryuuji) stand in front of a board advertising photos taken at the previous episode's culture festival that the photography club is selling by number. Minori reports fake-sneakily to Taiga that "Ami(n) in 200 is a must-see."

In a closer-up shot of the two of them, Minori explains what has intrigued her about Ami's appearance in photo #200: "The keyword... is underboob."

Sadly, she does not buy photo #200, but I wouldn't be doing my duty if I let this one slide

Nevertheless, I dream of one day making my own contribution to the small but distinguished community that is my fellow Ami x Minori shippers.

Fortunately, I discovered the Ami x Minori tag on AO3 and was thus thrust into the world of fanfiction. Needless to say, my idea was not original.

Sadly, while I can brainstorm the main story points and such, I have neither the writing skills nor anywhere near enough knowledge about the setting to even try to produce something more concrete than that.

Whenever I finish a rewatch of Toradora, I think "hey, Minori and Ami would make a great spin-off romance" and then ponder what that would look like.
