We are accepting applications from artists who want to learn about rewilding, ecoremediation and habitat restauration directly from research ecologists and conservationists.

Somebody planted seeds in the flower pots. Then these little sunflower sprouts popped up. Then the leaves were eaten. Was it the same somebody? Is this a Mouse's Sunflower farm? Could it have been the Chipmunk?

I'm so happy to welcome the Meadowlarks back to Biophilium meadow. 2 males and a female landed in time to watch the sun set. I feel like its our pair and their chick from last year returning home. I wonder where they've been. I wonder what they've seen. I hope they nest near the earthship.

The sound of winter melting is the song of the Red Wing Blackbird. Those creeks and whistles that trace the shape of the swamps and the thaw of mud. The faint warmth the sun gives the breeze despite the piles leftover snow skulking in the shade. It's remembering what I forgot in deep winter.

What I’m working on today. I changed one of the hemispheres to a sky blue and I’ll be adding clouds this morning.

Later, I’ll add stars and constellations in ink to the top hemisphere.

My circadian rhythm is off, but I’m doing my best. A work in progress.

Euglenoids are always a fun thing to see under the microscope. They are immediately identifiable by their bright red eye spots. Here I have depicted a variety of euglenoids in various shades and forms.
