I’ve been speed running emotional growth & communication skills on hard mode for at least the past year and a half now with the kid I became the guardian of and having to verbalize and express every internal process in some quasi teaching mode is something i’m having a hard time turning off

Gotta be a line between acting rashly and keeping things for longer than you need to when asking a question, moving to the next step, or making them someone else’s problem has little to no potential negative consequence and could gain additional insight. If nothing else it went away for a while.

I have a bunch of systems in place to help me not lose track of important things that need doing, but there are always more pushing the stress button and if there are too many the ability to be practical, to research, to be rational, to not have a full meltdown or to function at all goes bye bye
