I think eel was more of a commentary on how people will use anything (even ridiculous things) to justify their anger and hatred towards something or someone. Yoru already wanted to fight Denji she was just looking for an excuse to amp it up.

Character from chainsaw man “Asa Mitaka” reflects on her trust for for yoru. As yoru laughs while blowing up a building. Asa says “how… how could I forget, yoru’s a devil”

The fact that Yoru shows care for Asa makes it so hard for Asa to truly hate Yoru, I feel like Fujimoto is setting up Asa’s trust to be broken again… The cycle of abuse continues… Relapse’s happen. I hope this time Asa continues to distrust Yoru.
