The quality of #Days storytelling was going downhill long before the switch to Peacock. There was a significant shift in 2020 that the show never bounced back from (corresponding w/ Greg Meng's departure IMO)

Honestly it's kind of infuriating to think #OLTL got axed during a time where it was really good & #Days gets to just trudge on for years doing the absolute bare minimum with dismal writing & a dreadful cast

So we go from elevator music to a ticking clock. If they're not just begging to get canceled at this point, they've sure got me fooled. This looks so bad #Days

Gabi/Philip. Brady/Sarah. Jada/Theo. EJ/Cat. It's like just when you think the pairings on #Days can't get worse, they somehow prove you wrong. I don't think they'll ever recover from their 2020 mass exodus

Also, am I the only one who still wants Jacob & Smitty to have an affair now that they're working together again? Their respective pairings need shaken up & for some reason the show keeps holding back on good conflict with those two couples #BeyondTheGates #BTG

I'm enjoying Nicole's promiscuous phase, but admittedly I miss her going head-to-head against Leslie. Ted is definitely not worth it, but I thought Nicole/Leslie was going to be the next big soap rivalry & instead it fizzled out before it ever even really took off. Bummer #BeyondTheGates #BTG

I absolutely loved the episode where Vernon romances Anita the entire time just for her hair to start falling out at the end. That's the kind of stuff soaps are made of. Romance & heartache in one fell swoop #BeyondTheGates #BTG

Catching up on #BeyondTheGates. It's mostly good, but I really miss those first few months when scripts would just pop & characters were extra catty. It felt much soapier then. You can feel the 'CBS' of it all take over sometimes when it gets a little dry lol

Controversial take, but I loved this storyline. This is filet mignon soap opera compared to the elevator music #Days tries to serve up now. I know Dena is out there somewhere laughing her ass off lol

And for the record, I love a good behind-the-scenes feud. I was obsessed with Hope/Carly because you could feel the tension in their scenes lol. But Marlena literally smiled at Maggie at one point while she was talking in that scene today. What did y'all want them to do, kiss? #Days

Thank goodness they put Season 1 of #BeyondTheGates back up. I was tragically behind. I'm almost to Christmas though! I wish there was more going on, but it's still infinitely more watchable than some other soaps right now... #BTG
