Also that whole "Pro have licensing rights" is bullshit because many booths in vendor hall do not have those rights. You know, the ones selling the paper bags with stolen fanarts...The ones that the person in the audience was clearly referring to in his question.

They then spoke of the case of a collaborator who had also exhibited in AA in the past and who had to change his ways when he realized that his products could have been confiscated [by customs I assume] and be exposed to major[legal] problems.

Again not the topic.

On the subject of AA, the orgas have chosen to ban AI in order to promote artists with their own universes. This choice is also a way of teaching young artists that using this tool can create problems for them later on.

That's cool

At that point, they clearly failed to understand the pov of the person which was rather questionning them about their sincerity in promoting artists (professional and/or amateur) & creativity.

They cited the fact that Toei generated a Black Jack episode with AI and the customs confiscating unlicensed products during the con, on Toei demands.

Fanart. The word that was omitted during their whole answer was Fanart. But the question was about AI not fanart. That's a totally different topic!

The organizers said they do not condone the use of AI, which is great! But they quickly reduced the issue to a copyright issue: They can police the AA because the artists do not have licensing rights over the Ai art (?) while the professionnal vendors does and can do whatever they want. 🤨

I've watched Japan Expo closing panel stream and the first question was about AI. Its use is prohibited in the AA and the organizers supported the voice actors movement against it. And yet, Ai was rampant in the vendor hall this year, according to the person in the audience. "Does JE condone this?"

On a connu les "free-huggers" mal intentionnés et d'autres comportements de ce genre de la part de visiteurs.
Mais là...

C'est au-delà de l'imaginable. Les artistes et leurs infos personnelles sont contrôlé au peigne fin lors des inscriptions.
Mais en stand pro de ré-vente c'est open bar, tant que t'allonge l'argent.

The guy who runs this leather jacket stand is a porn film producer who, under the guise of selling his jackets, approaches cosplayers to ask them to star in his films.

Japan Expo always had its share of creeps (as any other con)
But that is next level.
