A gem from the April 1907 edition of the Oxford Wesleyan Circuit Magazine: On Good Friday morning the (Tackley) Sunday School children each received a bun. This has been the custom for many years past.

The Methodist Conference has elected Revd Mark Slaney
to serve as President and Caroline Stead to serve as Vice-President, starting their year of office when the Representative Session of the Methodist Conference opens in Telford in June 2026.
Looking forward to attending this lecture on Thursday evening.

Painted wooden pulpit in classical style with round-arched sounding board, raised four steps above the communion rail. Decorated for Harvest with plates of fruit, flower and foliage garlands and vegetables.
Very excited by a recent donation of archives including this rare image of the pulpit at the former St Michael’s Street United Methodist Church #Oxford fully decorated for harvest!
