Tweet with black-and-white photos of angry white protestors and young Ruby Bridges being escorted by U.S. Marshals in 1960. The overlaid text reads: “The people who threw rocks at Ruby Bridges for trying to go to school in 1960 now are upset their grandchildren might learn about them throwing rocks at Ruby Bridges for trying to go to school.”
There’s some truth here.

Very keen on gardening, she is. It is fun reminding her that the use of the room as a study was temporary! I do have the garage which is great but is chilly at present. It will be spring soon.

Mild amusement. But she has three sheds so doesn’t really need garage space.

I have a cunning plan to annex some space in another room to avoid the dining room! Just for fun I did ask if my wife would like some space in the garage.

It is a bit like Mission Control with 3 desks, a couple of computers and loads of books. She does her Zoom (in French) stuff from there. She is very tolerant of my stuff in the dining room.

My wife thinks it is a good thing to have hobbies. However I haven’t regained the (nice and warm) room that I used to use that she requisitioned when she was studying, even though she has now retired!

My excuse is that some are out in the garage and it is cold, and some are on the dining table and sometimes have to be moved.

I realised there was a Hobbycraft I hadn’t known about near where I was yesterday. I nearly went but remembered I really must finish what I had started.

I can remember my Dad showing me how to drill holes in glass over 60 years ago. I never have though! I did cut square holes in some tiles using my Dremel. Wonderful devices.
