No one is saying you voted for the entire bill (HR8774). We’re mad that you voted against a particular amendment (Greene Part A Amendment No. 114) in the bill, which would've cut funding to Israel. By voting against that amendment, you effectively supported Israel's genocide on Palestine.

I’ve studied USAID programs & projects in many university classes, and I even applied to some internships there. They fund so many water & sanitation/hygiene (WASH) projects, educational/teaching programs, medical care programs, and more. Cutting these programs & projects will be devastating.

USAID provided so much to so many in need.

Yes, it provided to those affected by U.S. imperialism, but shutting it down is not the answer.

Millions of people worldwide, including millions of children, will suffer and die as a result. This is beyond tragic.

U.S.-backed Israel has removed children's access to clean water, bombed all schools & hospitals, burned crop fields, destroyed fishing boats, blocked aid supplies, shot civilians in line for aid, laced the aid with opioids, and sniped children in the head & chest.

This is Genocide.

The U.S. needs to implement a mandatory paid maternity leave and paternity leave for all employers now, in addition to providing extra income and services directly, as well.

The U.S. is quite literally the worst country in the world (yes, even including countries in the Global South) when it comes to parental leave.

“I was hungry” and you cut $1 Billion in funding to schools and food banks.

“I was sick” and you worked to gut medicaid, depriving me of healthcare.

“I was a stranger” and you defined my humanity by legal status.

There won’t be many ECE centers left in the country.

Research shows that the first few years of learning are the most important in children’s development, and the GOP is destroying that chance for children.

My former employer, an amazing non-profit early childhood education center, which gets funding from the federal Head Start & Early Head Start programs, will be eliminated if this budget passes.
