OPM ‘loyalty question’ pushes potential agency applicants away, court documents show
Pseudonymous declarations from four federal workers paint a picture of a policy “having its intended impact” of politicizing agency work, an attorney for the plaintiffs says.
“Federal hiring for career jobs is supposed to be based on merit, not politics. You want the best people in the jobs, regardless of whether they’re Democrats or Republicans or independents, and that’s true regardless who’s in office," our own Ori Lev told @fedscoop.bsky.social about our lawsuit.

Many Education and State workers are still in the dark, while dozens of SBA employees were told their RIFs were halted only to be told a day later the separations would proceed.
It's been more than a week since the government reopened but some Education & State Department workers are still in the dark over their job status.
