One of my favorites! Right up there with the minor league Beaumont Golden Gators from the same time frame.

The Beaumont Golden Gators were the first team I watched play as a kid. Fell in love with baseball right then. Saw Benito play, and still use the giveaway zelcro wallet I got at a game.

Rawhide was Clint Eastwood's big early break in the late 50s and early 60s. Rowdy Yates spring boarded into the Man With No Name. This menko is circa 1960, and also promotes an air pistol. Love the back too. #CardSky #MenkoSky

Here's a trio of vintage menkos of HOFer Fumio Fujimura, who played 22 seasons for the Osaka Tigers. He began as a stellar pitcher before becoming a HOF hitter. Held the single-season hits record (191) for 44 years until Ichiro broke it.

The artwork on this one is my favorite. The agony of defeat. Also, the "g" in boxing seemingly being knocked over (on the front and back). Don't know if that was intentional or not. I've seen other menkos where they try & squeeze letters in, but this one looks more intentional.

I'd probably lose it, but as of yet, I haven't found one. It's interesting, most of the imagery I've found is based on a specific "Bat-Manga" version of Batman that was written and drawn only for the Japanese market. Totally different storyline and characters outside of Batman and Robin.

There are a few menko sets of Batman & Robin that were printed & released in Japan during the 1960s. So far, I've found 9 in this set with the circular military backs. Love the artwork on these. #cardsky
