What’s your local shop got to do with Epstein, Andrew M-W and Trump?

Oh! Not that sort of grooming gang…

Good Morning.

I’m listening to my pre-1954 playlist, then heading off for a band rehearsal.

A good day.

Gentle reminder that you don't have to fully boycott Amazon, just stop making it your default. Need socks? Lots of places sell socks. Need printer paper? Need rye flour? Many other options.

"This startup only sells through Amazon!"

Okay, buy that but don't buy the sneakers and coffee beans.

Such a shame how John Cleese suddenly dropped dead right after his speech at Graham Chapman's memorial service in 1990. With his passionate commitment to social democratic politics, European integration, and human rights, and his self-deprecating wit, he could have been a powerful voice had he lived

Onwards and upwards.
Our period of stress is easing - after a tough operation the week before last, last Friday, my wife and best friend was pronounced cancer-free.
Still got some recovering to do - but splendid news.
The lesson to learn - live life to the full, smell the flowers drink the wine. ❀️

Hey! You made it! Have a great one.

Completely agree on the sauce. The *only* acceptable sauce on a bacon sarnie is the in-house brown sauce available on Bear Bakery bacon rolls.

Picture of Marjane Satrapi alongside a quote from her. The quote reads:

The world is not divided into countries. The world is not divided between East and West. You are American, I am Iranian, we don't know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you.

And our governments are very much the same...

The take away for Labour on this is that they need to change course fast on hostile anti-immigration, anti-trans, anti-disabled policies if they want to avoid a humiliating defeat in the General Election. Time is running out to shift voters. It is going to take a massive mea culpa to get out of this

love a lot of things about the Brits. Like when they say "Urm" instead of "Um", or "cuppa?" Instead of "would you like a cup of tea?" Or how they
"arrest pedophiles" regardless of social stature instead of
"making them president."
All really cute stuff.

I’d consider it.
Really struggling with my weight (lifelong but especially recently). Pure mental issue. Drugs can help but you’ve still got to reduce calories in order to lose. Like all diets, strong risk of putting it all back on. My sis lost 6 stone with NHS funded treatment. Saved her life.
