As an Army veteran, I encourage everyone to engage with National Guard troops. (Not those other folks).
Start with “where y’all from?” “How long ya been here?” Then, “no offense, I sure hope we can get you back up your families and day jobs soon.”

Command tells soldiers, don’t bring your families to basic training graduation because ICE is waiting outside the gate.

DOD’s argument seemed to be that the trans ban policy was NOT driven by the President’s Exec Order on trans service, so… just coincidence that the policy came out days later?? 🙄

If the ban was pursuant to the EO (which it clearly was), the argument falls apart.
