How is it legal for a democratically elected representative to defraud and lie to the public about such an important matter in such an obvious and provable way?! This needs to change! Why isn’t there immediate mandatory financial sanctions and/or censure and no way to get out of it.

SNAP benefits are good for the economy! They act as an economic multiplier, especially during downturns. Every dollar spent generates economic activity. every $1 SNAP spends generates 1.50 to $1.80 in economic activity. This spending supports jobs in grocery stores farmers, delivery drivers etc.
