We demonstrated that genome size is related to cell size specially on the smallest cells of #moss #gametophytes . Our results also suggest that this relatinship is maintained across #landplants but it depends more on cell function than on cell type origin.

We identified 34 cryptogam taxa that could be grouped in five communities, each of them with different species compositions and ecological preferences. Two of the communities were related to human impacts on the dunes.

We conducted 335 relevés in 17 Balearic dune systems and identified the bryophyte and lichen species in them.

Happy to announce that the first paper of my PhD thesis, entitled "Cryptogam communities in Mediterranean coastal dunes as indicators of microhabitat effect and human influence", has been published in Ecological indicators!
