I am reminded today of two things. First, the late great Charles Kennedy's leadership of the Lib Dems during the Blair years. In many respects, the Greens are now pursuing a similar strategy, albeit more radical: challenging Labour from the left. Gaza is the new Iraq War.

Quite an achievement for the PM to piss off everybody from those right leaning who will give Labour a chance, to centre left, to soft left to harder left and still expect people to vote Labour.
