Announcing Florence Odumosu as ‘Grace’ in our upcoming show Sh*t Life Crisis.

We are so excited to be announcing our cast ahead of rehearsals beginning next week.
We still have tickets available at venues across our tour, in Newcastle, Hull, Goole, Lancaster and Keswick.

Caitlin’s work also takes the form of installation design, most notably for the National Trust, and as Associate and Assistant to a number of designers including for the West End, Scottish Opera, Royal Opera House and National Theatre.

Her work as a set and costume designer has seen main stages, studios and unconventional spaces across the country. Recent collaborations include National Theatre Public Acts, Hull Truck Theatre, Leeds Playhouse, Soho Theatre, Arcola Theatre, Northern Opera, Southbank Centre alongside many others.

ALSO a x2 nomination for Best Designer at The Stage Debut Awards & for the Arts Foundation Futures Award in Theatre; Shortlisted for The Naomi Wilkinson Award For Stage Design; finalist for the JMK Awards; a Creative Associate at Jermyn Street Theatre & a Resident Designer at New Diorama Broadgate.

Introducing the designer for Sh*t Life Crisis, Caitlin Mawhinney.

Caitlin was the winner of the Evening Standard Future Theatre Fund in 2021.

In 2024, she received a residency with Alphabetti Theatre and produced Pinball, a partially devised short play about ADHD. Her second full-length play Shit Life Crisis was longlisted for the Paines Plough Women’s Prize for Playwriting in 2020 and is about to go on tour with Silent Uproar (us!).

Olivia has also written short plays for Workie Ticket Theatre Company’s Women Warriors and Womxn Up! projects, and Pilot Theatre’s Northern Girls in 2021.

Braids went on to be performed on Radio 4 as part of their Lights Up! festival in March 2021 and had its theatre debut at Live Theatre in Newcastle in October 2021. A film adaptation is currently in development with Public Display of Affection Films.

Introducing Olivia Hannah, writer of Sh*t Life Crisis

Olivia Hannah is a scriptwriter based in the North East. Her first full-length play, Braids, was written as part of the Royal Court Writers’ Group (North) in 2018 and long-listed for the Alfred Fagon Award.

You don’t have to be the next Chappell Roan to enjoy these parts, think of it as a sing-along-friendly show. And (don’t worry) we won’t be pressuring any audience member to join us on stage to sing into the mic. You are also welcome to sit back and enjoy the experience without singing.

The show will contain well-known tunes which the characters will sing to. You can sing from the audience, and dance, clap, whoop, cry, and cheer.

Sh*t Life Crisis is touring the North of England through May and June this year and to celebrate, we have opened tickets for early birds.

Sh*t Life Crisis is a hilarious new karaoke theatre show by Olivia Hannah (Braids) about how no one tells you that survival turns your life inside out, especially when everyone seems to be so much better at living than you.

Theatre has a vision problem.

When I say vision, I mean an articulation of why a building or organisation exists. A purpose. A statement of how you want to change the world.

A coherent, inspiring vision was essential to everything we did at Company Three.

But so many theatres don’t have one.

Sadly due to renovations, B-Side are delayed in opening to the public. We wish our friends at B-Side an easy opening and we hope (🤞) to bring the show in 2025.

If you have a ticket for 15th December, you will be contacted via email regarding a refund or rearrangement for another of our dates.
