In deze onzekere tijd draaien onze ambassades in het Midden-Oosten op volle kracht om Nederlanders te helpen.

Van @minbz.bsky.social collega’s hoorde ik hoe hard er gewerkt wordt aan consulaire dienstverlening, nu veel NL'ers informatie en hulp zoeken.

Glad to speak with my colleague FM Badr Albusaidi and to thank Oman for facilitating tonight’s first KLM flight with stranded Dutch citizens. We jointly condemned Iran’s widespread attacks across the Gulf. The Netherlands stands with Oman and values its ongoing diplomatic efforts.

Discussed the tense regional situation and the threat of the Iranian regime with FM Gideon Sa’ar as well as the risk of escalation. I condemned the indiscriminate Iranian attacks. I also called for de-escalation in Lebanon and stressed the need for unhindered humanitarian access to Gaza.

In my first call with FM Rajji I underlined the strong ties between Lebanon and the Netherlands and our continued support for Lebanon’s stability.

We will keep supporting the Lebanese Armed Forces, incl on border management & demining. Avoiding further regional escalation is vital.

Important to touch base with my Palestinian colleague Minister Varsen Aghabekian. I stressed that the Netherlands is a partner to the Palestinians, and we remain focused on the situation in Gaza and the West Bank, also amid the conflict with Iran. NL is committed to the two-state solution.

De mogelijkheden tot ondersteuning zullen per land verschillen. Onze ambassades en crisisteams bereiden diverse opties voor. Waar we mogelijkheden zien, zullen we gestrande reizigers ook informeren over manieren om zelfstandig te vertrekken. Het ministerie is 24/7 bereikbaar. 2/2

During my call with #Iraqi FM Fuad Hussein, we discussed Iranian attacks on Iraqi soil and the broader impact of this conflict. We jointly underlined the importance of de-escalation. Stability and security in the region is our shared priority.

Stability in the Middle East matters to us all. Iran’s attacks and airspace violations over #Jordan are unacceptable and risk wider escalation. I shared our support with FM Ayman Safadi and discussed how we can work together and coordinate our efforts.

The attacks on #Bahrain are deeply concerning and unacceptable. In my conversation with FM Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani, I conveyed our solidarity and stressed the importance of preventing further escalation and safeguarding stability in the region.

Iran’s attacks on targets in #Kuwait are unacceptable and must stop. I expressed our solidarity during my call with FM Sheikh Al-Sabah and underlined our deep concern about wider regional escalation and the impact on Kuwait’s security and stability.

De situatie in het Midden-Oosten heeft onze volledige aandacht. Onze onmiddellijke prioriteit ligt nu bij de veiligheid van Nederlanders in de regio.

Veiligheid in Europa vraagt dat we meer verantwoordelijkheid nemen. Daarom gaan we met Frankrijk en andere bondgenoten de dialoog aan over een sterkere Europese dimensie van afschrikking.

Had a good call with Polish FM @radeksikorski on continued backing for Ukraine, close European cooperation and the wider tensions, including events in the Middle East. Europe must remain united and focused in addressing both crises.

Important exchange with my EU colleagues today. We deplore Iran’s long-standing destabilising role, reaffirm our solidarity with the Iranian people, and call for an end to further regional escalation. We stand in full solidarity with our partners in the Gulf, Jordan and Iraq.

Spoke with H.H. Sheikh Abdullah and I conveyed my condolences and support following Iran’s inexusable and indiscriminate attacks, which must stop. I underlined full NL solidarity with the UAE and our shared commitment to regional stability.

Spoke with my colleague H.E. Sheikh Mohammed about Iran’s inexcusable attacks. NL stands in full solidarity with Qatar. Stability and security in the region must be preserved and Iran must refrain from indiscriminate military strikes.

I welcomed Ukraine's commitment to achieve a lasting peace. The Netherlands will continue to work on robust security guarantees and more pressure on Russia.

We blijven ons inzetten voor gerechtigheid voor Oekraïne. Met het opzetten van het agressietribunaal, het schaderegister en de claimscommissie. En met hulp om ontvoerde Oekraïense kinderen terug te krijgen. Ook steunen we Oekraïne bij hervormingen op hun EU-toetredingspad. 2/2

We stand with Ukraine it its fight for accountability. Via a Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression, the Register of Damage and the International Claims Commission, and efforts to locate and reunite abducted children. We also support Ukraine with reforms on its EU path. 2/2

Het kabinet volgt de situatie in Iran, Israël en de bredere regio nauwgezet en staat hierover in contact met onze ambassades. Nederland roept alle partijen op om terughoudendheid te betrachten en verdere escalatie te voorkomen. Stabiliteit in de regio is essentieel.

We spoke about Venezuela & the importance of a coordinated approach with EU + other international partners & discussed the importance of continued support for Ukraine.

I urged not to move forward with the recent Israeli decisions regarding the West Bank that would further remove us from a two-state solution. We remain committed to a safe and secure Israel alongside an independent and viable Palestinian state. 3/3
