I dislike tacked-on RPG progression in action games but I've always been a fan of linear games that give you "distinct upgrades" as you progress, like Thunder Force IV's charge shot or weapons in ZR/Mega Man. Those feel rare now, replaced by tacked on skill trees. Is it just me that noticed this?

Well that's the point! It's something that "should" be grotesque, and comes off as that to an average person, but it's "imbued" with "love." It's _sexy_.

While talking with Kayin I defined euroguro as "it's like mk gore". it's not done w/ love but it somehow loops around to being horny anyway.

While Akiragoya's works definitely do _amp up_ the eros, Giger's work still carries the same philosophy and is fundamental to the development of eroguro as an art movement in general (he's often listed as an inspiration by people like Akiragoya himself). It's the "spirit": Love for the grotesque.

The first movie I saw in the Knives Out series, I thought it was pretty good! Classical mystery story. Neat characters and some good themes; but as a whole I thought it was too long for itself and LeBlanc himself was the weak link. I expect more from detectives. Nice film!

Have you read the really good Gridman spinoff manga by a Studio Trigger guy that was made a little after this? Gridman Dogma? It's like 12 chapters on mangadex and it's genuinely the best shit I've read in my life and it has another titledrop like this.
