New review! My thoughts about Sharks by Simone Buchholz @ohneklippo.bsky.social (pub'd @orendabooks.bsky.social thx @annerandomthings) - "Too many people will not face the justice system for various crimes. However, we are certain that things are not going to go well for them..."

Verified information is more crucial than ever but it's bloody difficult to get it when there's no internet.

Think very hard about the source of the information you're sharing, and don't believe everything online or IRL.

Reuters, AP and al Jazeera are good places to look, plus the BBC.

Wtaf is wrong with people that arts and culture and its practitioners are treated like scum despite their massive contribution to the greater good and the country's economy?

If you want a swift half between the station and the uni, Fleshmarket Close has the tiny Halfway House and slightly larger Jinglin Geordie (if you don't mind the steps).

Every time you think DT is at the bottom of the barrel, he finds a new low. This kind of comment should show KS that standing up for the UK is more important than sucking up to the US, who will always f*** us over whatever happens. But it probably won't, sadly.

Definitely mention Theakstons Harrogate, Bloody Scotland in Stirling, and Capital Crime in London, those are the biggest. 🀞🀞🀞

A lot of crime fiction readers love adjacent nonfiction, in my experience! Your publisher should have contacts for festivals, and they are all over the UK, so you could have a wee tour - and bookshops would I'm sure welcome you to stop by to sign some books while you're in the neighbourhood.
