Which is a bit twee but also super resonant, to me.

Oh my word yes. I listened to the audiobook on my commute and I would find myself crying so hard I couldn't see the road, or shaking with frustrated rage.

Just finished Deadworld Isekai - it was pretty good, I liked the power curve and trope usage. Didn't like slave guardian, but I'm pretty sure that was the point, to make the reader think and be uncomfortable with "no good choices" decisions.

I really liked that game. It had an interesting setting and character backgrounds. Yuri was pretty fun.

The "work for hire"/freelance set-up of comics work is not great for most creators, in terms of long-term benefit. This is one reason (among others) to actively support creator-owned comics when you can, alongside the work you may enjoy from Marvel/DC/etc.
