We recently viewed a house near where we lived 20 years ago. Our house then backed on to the maternity unit car park. All gone now - replaced by houses and flats that completely overlook our old place and the garden. No privacy at all.

In today's trying to buy a house news: big fan of the people who took our financial info not sending anything to the housing company over the course of a week. Housing company has nothing indicating we can buy. So the house we liked has gone.

Finding the beat of my current book after a bad few weeks. I expected to finish the first draft after maybe two months but it's been close to that already and I'm at almost 50k. Once I get the rights back to 3 books now homeless after the publisher closed, I can refocus properly.
