Taken a hit to get 11 players this week rather than using the free hit. Not a great team, particularly in defence but it’ll feel like that for most people. Bruno captain, nearly picked Wood but can’t ignore form and how bad we are.

Committed the cardinal sin of going early with transfers. Tried to avoid doing it as much as possible, but wanted to get in before potentially losing 0.3m of value just before a wild card. I’m ready for the footballing gods to punish me for it now… 😅

Opted to bench Gakpo. Want Wood for next week but didn’t think it was worth a -4 this week when I have at least an adequate starting 11. Taking a risk on Isak starting after Howe’s press conference. I think he might start but get an earlyish sub.

From Slot’s press conference, I don’t feel like Gakpo will get more than 20/30 mins off the bench at most. Opting to bench rather than sell, no other strikers I’d want to take a hit for this week, would rather wait until next.

Whether Isak is fit or not, my plans remain the same. Starting this week, if he doesn’t play then I have bench players that can sub on. Was always going to bench rather than sell in 29 too, then plenty of time to decide ahead of 30.

I’m not too upset, my plan for a while has involved WC30 to get Haaland back in in time for their good run of fixtures.

Tempted to take a gamble on Beto. Been in good form under Moyes and I only need someone for a couple of weeks before the wild card anyway.

Cunha getting suspended is probably one of the worst things for my team right now… if Isak also isn’t fit for next week, I might need a hit 😬

If it's going to happen, now is probably the best time. Only two games in March with us out of the FA Cup and the international break. Spend time finding the right person rather than another rushed decision like Ruud was.

My fear is the board see Russell Martin as an attractive proposition. They seem to have a thing about us playing 'pretty football' when that's probably the opposite of what we need right now. Gritty, defensive football while trying to hit on the counter attack - we need to go back to our roots.

I think the main thing is stability. We've had a massive overturn of managers recently, we need someone that can steer the ship steadily while we slowly build back up. There's a possibility the EFL try and hit us with a transfer embargo again too, so we need someone who can work with what we have.

Dyche probably has to be the favourite. I think he still lives locally and doubt he'd get another Premier League job after his sacking at Everton. Probably the best option we could go down into the Championship with. Just depends on whether he'd want to take on this absolute mess of a football club!

Ruud needs to go, tonight. I get the squad in general isn't good enough but the last thing we need is a manager who has given up too. The board, players, manager, no one seems to care anymore. Something needs to change or we risk this spiralling out of control into next season too.

Well, at least Isak saved me from the horrendous decision to bench Rogers! 😅

Tough choice pre deadline. Need to play one of Rogers or Gakpo *or* take one out for a hit. I’m leaning towards starting Gakpo, his minutes will be reduced but he came off the bench at the weekend and has a week before the next game. Don’t think any midfielder is worth a hit for (already have Bowen)

I'm *really* not looking forward to not owning Palmer over these next two game weeks. If there are any clubs to help him find his form again, it's Southampton and Leicester... 😬

See, I’d feel hesitant given the quick turn around of games. If it was weekend - weekend I’d be more confident about him starting.

A good game week, but slightly disappointing that I opted to start Gakpo. The 6 pointer from Trent haunting me on the bench. Another green arrow though, just outside the top 100k. One more good game week and I should be back in!

I’ll take a final win for my assistant manager chip, 44 points overall. Not as impressive as those that took the table boost gambles today but still solid!
