Le ZEVENT est de retour ! ๐
27.07.2025 18:02 โ ๐ 357 ๐ 105 ๐ฌ 6 ๐ 12Nuxt 4.0 is here at last โฆ and it's all about DX โจ
๐๏ธ app/ directory for better organisation
๐ smarter data fetching
โก๏ธ a faster CLI with socket communication
๐ง improved TypeScript integration
... and a smooth upgrade experience. ๐
๐ nuxt.com/blog/v4
I am delighted to announce that @vercel.com are investing in Nuxt!
they are backing our vision of the open web, hiring me as well as other core team members (@atinux.com, @pi0.io + @antfu.me), to continue to work full time on Nuxt
we remain independent โ and our vision and ethos are not changing ๐
โก๏ธ Vite 7.0 is out!
- Browser Target Changed to Baseline Widely Available
- Node 18 support dropped. Vite is now distributed as ESM only
- And feats, fixes, and cleanups, while we prepare for rolldown!
So cool !
Now we're just waiting for the formatter ๐
We're thrilled to announce the first stable release of Oxlint - version 1.0!
Our Rust-powered JavaScript/TypeScript linter delivers 50~100x faster performance than ESLint with 500+ rules and zero configuration required.
Time to give it a try!

Ahah no problem !
That's some very interesting informations about the project anyway ! Thanks a lot ! ๐
Thanks for being so reactive !
I didn't know some projects were deliberately not publishing binaries, why are they doing so ?
That seems like a pretty obvious thing to do ๐ค
No response, I'll start searching for responsible peoples directly I guess.
Hey @shipilev.bsky.social do you know anyone in charge for this ?
Sorry for direct mentioning like this, but the OpenJDK project doesn't have any proper contact.
Today we are excited to announce Rolldown-Vite: a technical preview of the version of @vite.dev entirely powered by the Rust stack we built over the past year (Oxc + @rolldown.rs)
voidzero.dev/posts/announ...
Maybe we should artificially create some drama here to bring him.
HEY THEO I BET YOU CAN'T CREATE A X CLONE USING CLAUDE 4 AND CONVEX ๐ก
@t3.gg X is down please say anything here idk

I'm so excited to announce the Kenney plushie! โจ But I need your help, 200 people should pledge to the @Makeship petition in order to get it produced!

Please consider supporting ๐โโ๏ธ
@openjdk.org please respond, we can't even find a contact email on the website, nor open an issue on Github.
What's even "open" in OpenJDK ๐
Don't miss what happened in the last weeks
- tsdown is now part of VoidZero
- Vite Devtools Sneak Peek
- oxc-minify in Rolldown
- rolldown-vite improvements
- ViteConf Speaker Overview
- Upcoming meetup in San Francisco
- Goxc and Godown
More in this thread ๐
Plush are cool ways to support free stuff !
I got the Godot plush and couldn't be happier.
Definitely buying if it's available.

Hey @openjdk.org ๐
Is there anyway you could provide a raw release page like @nodejs.org does ? nodejs.org/download/rel...
That is VERY useful when automating installations in different environments, and turns out pretty much every tech has a similar page... Except OpenJDK ๐ญ
Seems cool, probably gonna migrate @fibbo.dev CLI to Gunshi ๐

Not saying this is the best scenario, I clearly prefer when communities manage to create 100% open and free ecosystems (Vue for example).
But having ressources to build open source tech reliably is SO hard that we must accept sometimes big closed companies will handle it.
Well that's true !
But a company basically can't make money if they're only working on open source projects.
Thus having very profitable closed products in order to finance open source projects besides is a pretty good deal.
Google maintains Angular, Meta maintains React, Vercel maintains Next,...
Microsoft actually maintain cool open source projects : VS Code, TypeScript, Playwright,...
And GitHub offers free hosting and collaboration tools for everything that's open source.

Today we're thrilled to announce our effort to port the TypeScript compiler and language service to native code, gaining a 10x speed boost in build times and editor responsiveness!
