St Bridgid of Sweden On 7 October 1391, Birgitta Birgersdotter was canonised by Pope Boniface IX in Rome. She had been dead for 13 years at that time. Internationally, she’s mostly known as St Bridgid of Sweden, as in …

A bit late, obviously, to actually acknowledge her canonisation, but her story is still interesting. How "holy" was St. Bridgid of Sweden?

Complete disregard for the environment? For a long time we were ahead of the lot of you. Then there are people stupid enough to vote for rightwing governments who couldn't care less.

A post about the Swedish king Gustav III and his prolonged murder.
He was shot on this day in 1792, and it would take him almost two weeks to die.
Limiting the rights of the nobility made him the target of a conspiracy.

I've felt rage since Vance and Kellogg spoke in Munich here in Europe last week, and with Trump's disgusting attack on president Zelenskyj, it has only got worse.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is not a dictator.

He is a champion of democracy, freedom and truth.

President Zelenskyy has been one of the greatest leaders of our time, guiding Ukraine through the darkest period of its recent history, rising up to Russia’s unwarranted aggression, being an inspiration to the Ukrainian people and ensuring that Ukraine’s voice is heard on the world stage.

I WONDER WHERE HE COULD HAVE GOTTEN THAT IDEA FROM.

I wish I could come, but won't be able to make it to England, London or the museum this year. I've been there three times though, which I think is quite good for a Swede. 😅 Will the new exhibition be in place just during 2025? That would make sense, given the reasson for it, but one can hope..
