I heard it's because they could only get a couple actors to commit per episode? so each episode was done whenever those actors had time, leading to a lack of consistency.

i went out in sandals and a hawaiian shirt yesterday bc it dared to reach 50 degrees, lol.

two more nights of sub freezing weather and then we're done. we're in the clear. low of 40s nightly after that. @-@

First ref sheet commission I've gotten since 2023. I've always thought inking is one of my weakest points, but inking over 100 pages of comics for 2 years straight has definitely forced some improvement. I connect lines better & think more about weight placement now.

glimmer? not sure, but I know what this guy's doing...

I've noticed i do a lot of dark/light dynamic.

whether that be sunny/grumpy, positive/negative, cheerful/grumpy, spacey/grounded... i like the interaction of people who have a balanced opposite to each other.

so anyway i'm doing a lot of comic reworking, soft painting/drawing (comms and real media projects), and writing in the meantime, since those are easiest. inking is the hardest right now - nothing comes out right, even with the stabilization.

it's definitely healing, but it just sucks asssssss. i still have to watch where i put my thumb when typing and try not to hit it on things (i think i re-injured it a couple times accidentally bc i'm clumsy af)

it's been a week since i cut my thumb and it STILL hurts. i think i nicked both a vessel and a nerve. i haven't had this kind of injury in a looong while.

even a fishknife cut on my finger healed quicker. this is as painful as the damn bloodblister from a (domestic) rat bite i got very long ago.

If you've missed it (because of bsky's threading/media display stuff on my timeline), I'm slowly transposing my webtoon-format comic into standard comic page format.

I'm up to episode 9 now! This also includes updated panels with minor fixes, design adjustments, and added/updated dialogue.
