this looks so cool. that being said, almost all LLMs suck at playing chess except maybe gemini-- the games will be abysmal.

irony alert: @lichess.org exits X citing toxicity, and the platform's response? a tsunami of hate proving EXACTLY why they're leaving 🤦‍♂️

hi! i don't have a say in the hashtags the community prefers to use so it's up to you to popularize its usage 😅 anyhow, it sounds like a nice idea. will surely look into it.

it doesn't come off as a surprise to me anymore that most of the high-profile celebrities use their wealth and influence to act inhumanely, hiding behind performative activism to shield themselves and each other. what a despicable bunch of people honestly.

of course, there's a chessbase india video that captured the moment (with beautiful non-judgmental text commentary) youtu.be/nZN9vkQ7ng8?...

saw this reddit post today and couldn't stop crying. suddenly that old clip of the 13 yo Murzin crying on the board after a loss made so much sense. i will always be rooting for him.

If you’re commentating a FIDE event in the future and you’re explaining the format to your audience, you have to add some caveats, right? You have to say, this is the *planned* format, but FIDE has a history of changing the rules after the games have started, so we’ll see what happens.

very sad visuals. never seen him so vulnerable in public. not sure if it's only the chess that is troubling him. hoping everything is alright.

can't believe this will be the final image of Magnus from the last FIDE-organized event of his career 😂

the jeans controversy feels so forced. like how did wearing jeans become "a matter of principle" for magnus and why would FIDE not simply fine players for their first infraction and escalate only if they break the code again the next day? just bad PR for chess all over again.

what i love about CBI is that they seem really passionate (almost childlike ✨) about what they do and treat everyone- from players to people working behind the scenes, with utmost respect. you'll find interviews of arbiters, media persons, organisers and literally everyone connected to the game.

Publishers aren't trying to keep AI companies from training on books. They're trying to make as much money off of it as possible.

If you're an author or an academic who is against having your works trained on, publishing houses are not your allies. You're their product.

They all thought it was a draw...but Ding plays Rg6!
YouTube video by Chess for Intermediate Players They all thought it was a draw...but Ding plays Rg6!

Commentators all thought it was a draw, and were talking about the tiebreaker round coming next, until Ding Liren played a move that shocked them.

No, I'm not talking about the 2024 World Championship. I'm talking about the 2023 World Championship. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZREv...

GM Saddler one was most hilarious because he hadn't figured out immediately that it was loosing for ding but then his chat asks him to check the evaluation and then he immediately loses it 😂

i added it just a couple of days ago. didn't think anyone would use it in any other context apart from the chess one 🫠. will remove it for now and pull only from their official account (if they end up creating one here)
