If Murray didn’t get a player option, then I think he should’ve just played it out. I feel like this is closer to his floor, but maybe his thumb injury has spooked him and he’s worried his shot doesn’t come back afterwards.

Ha. Basically if they had done the main trade, but for Morant, I would be very high on this team going forward. As it is, they need the guy who can hit off the dribble threes and pass and they’re more or less in a holding pattern until they get that.

I am very pessimistic about the team this year, but I still would’ve done the trade and I’ll do a more long-term peace next. Everything I’ve written so far has been about just this season.

I cut a line that was essentially “building the team around Ja Morant also means you are building the team for the post Ja Morant era”. Jerome and Pippin are sort of a ready-made duo to replace ja if they decide to go that route.

Yep. I don’t think Jaron has the ball handling and passing to be a playoff offense, but pair him with initiator who can hit threes off the dribble and watch out.

Graham Platner is a very high-ceiling candidate in Maine with a lot of potential. He's also extremely untested and while he looks promising for Democrats, it's pretty important to have a primary here to see if there are any red flags that bubble up.
