there were characters for other famous buildings, but its the Weirdness of making the Twin Towers Specifically into ocs that drew outsiders attention and mockery. sure it was weird but i found it fascinating honestly. probably a little tone deaf at worst lmao but its not like they were evil

it wasnt just the twin towers. you could very easily tell these kids had autistic fixations on notable architecture and humanizing its qualities into interactive characters in a way that i found very charming if not a little naive

all these kids i saw were younger than 911 itself

im sad those two or three kids on toyhouse who drew humanized versions of the twin towers broke containment and got bullied into hiding their art. i wonder what theyre up to now
