Another lifeguard today says the pool vacuum won’t eat the giant hairballs. They need a hungrier vacuum!

Yeah, the pool vacuum is working, and they think it gets turned on every morning, but “it’s just not good at getting the stuff at the bottom in the deep end.”

A lifeguard asked me to guess how many litres of water are in Sunnyside Pool because a swimmer had asked him this so he looked it up and now he knows. I guessed a million. The answer? 3.4 million litres!

I was told by a “lane swimmer” standing in the pool during lane swim that I shouldn’t splash water when I swim laps. This person clearly thought she was at lame swim. Pls read the schedule carefully! Happy 100th birthday to Sunnyside Pool!

I can’t be the only one who doesn’t mind when the thermostat says 31.5C!

By the time I was done with lane swim, the lights were back on. Anyhow, there's no "transformer explosion" category for reporting it to Toronto Hydro online, so I put it under "report a damage or injury claim" for the dead squirrel.

It was A LOT!

Yesterday very early morning I saw a transformer explode entirely and I’d been close to biking right under it and a squirrel flew and landed dead on the ground and I screamed “holy shit!” and all the stop lights went out. This, I had never seen before!!
