I’ve only been back in the state for about a year, and in that time, I haven’t encountered much criticism of Pritzker, aside from internet trolls taking jabs at his weight. Has he actually been an ineffective governor? So far, I find myself in the unexpected position of rooting for a billionaire.

On the left (2021), I was headed to Seattle during a pandemic with depression, and worried about what the future may look like in a new city.

On the right (2025), I came back home to Chicago the year prior, and made the decision to lose 110 lbs. and flourish like never before.
