Legitimately so happy to see a new Yorushika MV where Amy is alive and hasn't given up on music. I'm glad he got a softer ending this time.

So we got an "August, A Certain Place, Moonlight" MV showing Amy Going Through It, just to get another MV two months later showing Amy in another life jamming on his guitar and dancing in a field dressed as a deer. And you know what that is? Growth.

Glad that n-buna's saddest boy is getting another chance 10 years later. 🥲

Watching the new Yorushika MV (youtu.be/t75qlQPXJGw?...), and they really decided to inflict a "Nautilus" callback on everyone, huh? A lot of the comments are people going, "Amy?!"

He loves "Hikaru," but in many ways, he is not his type.

Also, really funny that Yoshiki is a "fangs and claws" monster guy (same tbh), and then a real monster waltzes into his life, and it's an eldritch horror.

It's been really nice to see "Hikaru" have some pride as a monster in the bonus comics. He's gone from thinking he doesn't belong in this world to reassuring Yoshiki that bad things won't happen to him because he's a monster and claiming that he's cooler and stronger than Yoshiki's toy monster.

I once had to listen to a guy say that Michael Phelps is a genetic freak, then immediately follow that by saying that he didn't think trans-women should compete against cis-women in swimming bc it's "unfair."

Anyway, I sucked at wrestling, but the experience did give me a lot of valuable tools to shut down transphobic relatives at holiday parties.

So the argument about "protecting" women in sports is really BS. If you're an athlete, you take on all comers. Some people will have biological advantages over you. That's just part of sports. You get good to the best of your ability.

The girls were always encouraged to practice against the boys with the understanding that it would make everyone stronger. I sometimes beat up on guys in practice, and if they quit because of it, they didn't have what it took. I had an exhibition match against a boy once, and I won.

Lrp; It sucks so bad. My high school wrestling team in late 2000s-2010s technically had separate boys teams and girls teams, but the teams practiced together and the coaching staff emphasized that, while we competed separately, we were ONE team. There was nothing controversial about it.

It’s so weird that not so long ago, like, less than 20 years, the progressive feminist position was gender de-segregation in sport and other male dominated spaces. Then the terfs came along and convinced the mainstream that the most progressive feminist position is that women are weak and feeble.

The easiest way to make a character who is an asshole and a total heel interesting to me is to go, "Actually, there is one (1) thing that they do legitimately love. There is a crack in the armor."
