Episode 17 - Japan Cup (Part 1). I don't know if I like Obey Your Master's portrayal in the anime vs the manga. I find the character more sympathetic in the manga while she feels more villainess in the anime. The American Uma Musume portrayals seem a bit over the top but not unusual for anime.

Oh my, I totally misread what you were referencing in this reply. The fanservice "joke" here is that in the original anime series, all of the next episode previews that were voiced by Misato promised fanservice. So obviously Misato would promise fanservice in the collab preview as well.

Based on the news post granbluefantasy.jp/pages/?p=63518, this collab will feature characters from the Rebuild movies so if you did want to watch prior to the collab, the 4 Rebuild movies would fill you in and they're an easier watch than the original anime. Mari is not part of the original series.

If you enjoyed the other collabs without prior knowledge, then the assumption would be that same would apply for this one. The collab stories are pretty generic and I never felt like I needed to have prior knowledge of characters. Instead it's more of a bonus if you do.

The first preview for the Evangelion x Granblue Fantasy collab event is up in-game, and in fine Eva tradition, it's narrated by Misato with a promise of plenty of fan service at the end!

Episode 16 - International racers. I love interactions between side characters and I love how Gold City and Ellerslie Pride share time in the manga. I can't remember if it was the '88 or '89 JC where it happens but it'll be nice to see in the anime (I hope).

As it really starts to feel like Autumn here, I'm reminded that the BBC axed Autumnwatch several years ago in a cost cutting move so I've resorted to searching for previous episodes on the web to watch this time of year. The georestrictions on the iPlayer doesn't help.

Playing multiple accounts in a gacha game eats up a lot of time but it can be worth it when one of your accounts is unlucky with a banner but the other account got super lucky and pulled what you wanted. GBF taught me this lesson. I'm just glad I got Summer Maruzensky on one of the accounts.

-"Egao no Taenai Shokuba desu" seems okay after just one episode.
-"Bukiyou na Senpai" is my workplace romance show for this season.
-"Yano-kun no Futsuu no Hibi" is another high school romance story.
-Still watching "Futari Solo Camp" which finally got interesting.

As for the rest, I haven't formed any real opinions yet.
-"Shuumatu Touring" is a show designed to try to make you cry.
-"Towa no Yuugure" is also a post-apocalypse show from PA Works and I always watch their shows.
- "Spy x Family S3" is exactly what it is.
-"Gintama" spin off because why not?

One show I had high hopes for was "A Star Brighter Than the Sun" which is a high school romance story. It's the kind of story I like (see: Horimiya, Skip to Loafer) with likable characters. The issue is that it's on Prime Video which separates translated signs and dialog into separate sub tracks.

I'm always happy to be surprised by a show I wasn't intending to watch. The only reason I started watching "May I Ask for One Final Thing?" was because I'd heard about it on my socials. And the first two episodes didn't disappoint.

Obviously, Uma Musume Cinderella Gray Part 2 is the show I'm most hyped about. It's one of the best manga I've read in awhile and Cygames is doing a fantastic job of adapting it as an anime.

I actually thought I might take it easy for the Fall Anime season but I just kept reading interesting log lines and previews for the new shows. It looks like another 10+ shows for this season not counting Isekai Quartet S3 which just started this week. Most of the shows look good so far.

Episode 15 - Kikuka Sho. Despite all the Super Creek memes from the game, I really like the Cingray version of her character the most. She has a great story with her trainer Fumino Nase and she even gets to play the villain instead of the goo-goo babies version of herself from the game.
