Trump has announced 10% tariffs on Germany, Denmark, and other European nations like Norway, Sweden, France, UK, Netherlands, and Finland starting February 1, over their opposition to his plan to acquire Greenland for national security.

Greenland falls under EU mutual defence clause, European Commission confirmed today.

Article 42.7 is similar in scope as NATO article 5, and includes that countries have "an obligation of aid and assistance by all the means in their power" if an EU country is attacked.
