It was a beautiful and historic day in Skokie last week when neighbors and activists came together to speak out and heal in light of Donald Trump’s invasion of Chicagoland.

Thank you to Indivisible Skokie for the beautiful resistance. Generations from now will be proud of how we are showing up!

These little kiddos saw me getting petition signatures and gave me lemonade and some barbecue then created their own “petition,” which I gladly signed! Definitely the most magical moment from this weekend!

Current mood. We are not playing. Chicago does not break. Chicago is unbreakable. No occupation of us and our people. No ICE raids. No federal troops. Build schools. Invest in community safety and wellness. Stop playing with our lives.

I had a blast at Buffalo Grove Days chatting with neighbors one by one about how I’ll fight for every single community across the 9th CD.

These are terrible times but I find immense joy every day in meeting new people from across the myriad communities comprising our district.

Never underestimate the unbreakable spirit of the labor movement and ordinary Chicagoans.

I was proud to stand in solidarity with countless brave labor leaders, organizers, and everyday people who took to the streets in Chicago to send a clear message to Donald Trump: we’re united standing with workers and in BEATING BACK fascism and the unlawful occupation of our beloved city.

I’m running for Congress as a passionate cyclist who will bring gusto to the fight for safer roads for those who bike! Let’s roll!

As a staunch advocate for public transit, I’m calling on my colleagues to convene for a special session immediately so we can fully fund Chicagoland public transit.

Our transit operators and the millions depending on them shouldn’t have to sit in anxiety week to week worried about service cuts.
