It can be a demanding placement but students who do it generally find it inspiring and even transformational- and everyone leaves having learned more about Christ’s call to serve the needs of others.

A reflection from Susanne, one of our ordinands, on her placement at St George’s Crypt Leeds. We have a long association with the Crypt, regularly sending students there, and praying for their vital work with homeless and vulnerable people in Leeds.

Fr Martin Poole, who spoke to our finalists about parish ministry, and introduced his book “Real Life Rev” to all the ordinands this evening. We really valued what he shared, including some thought-provoking stuff about the value of discontent in an unjust world.

Give her wisdom and kindness that as archbishop, she may promote unity, seek truth, and lead us in the way of righteousness and peace; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
