get into how angels are clearly able to get away with a lot, but people seem to think the way that should be resolved is they simply start getting punished, which is just strange to me. The scale is tipped towards more people being in Heaven than not, it doesn’t need to be equal

I find it slightly odd that a number of people, in response to a character like Sera, seem to want her punished and condemned for her crimes, which just feels completely in contrast to everything about Hazbin’s themes and its message. Not in that I don’t think the show won’t-

In light of more people coming around to realizing Pentious is incredible here’s a piece I got from @minimanuke.bsky.social last year

She’s so cool I like that she clearly possesses significantly more knowledge and insight than anyone else and leads with warmth and kindness to guide them where they should go but doesn’t offer them the answers directly, very caring in a way that respects everyone as people who can make choices

Overall I think immediately this season benefits from not having to literally set everything up about the show and world, these are really really good episodes and I’m really really excited for more

We know she invites the Vees over and the Vees want to hijack her gained influence and I’m so curious how that’s gonna play out and how she’s going to do emotionally and what mistakes she’s going to make. She’s so cool as a protagonist I’m just excited

Bringing things all the way back around, I’m very interested to see what Charlie is going to do with Emily’s very rushed info dump, we know Emily comes down eventually again but how Charlie is going to handle things in the meantime intrigues me

I like that Vox is clearly an idiot with massive delusions of grandeur from the jump, like he’s not at all hiding his personal flaws that are clearly informing his plans, excited to watch him be a loser

Niffty I’m pretty interested in because her killing Adam feels like the sort of thing that’s going to affect her somehow, we don’t really know what her deal is and this feels like the sort of thing that’s going to start letting us in on what her deal is

towards not changing characters names because I feel very strongly that Angel shouldn’t go back to his old name so I am biased. Regardless of that, holy shit Vaggie is so fucking hot. She is benefiting a Lot from the upgraded art it’s great, I’m gay

sorta wonder if ultimately she isn’t going to, partially because changing a character’s name always seems difficult to me from a marketing perspective, but also because the people around her who care about her know her as that in not a demeaning way. I’m also just inclined-

We didn’t spend as much time with the hotel crew because obviously it was just one episode of them but I liked feeling welcomed back into this gang of characters, and there is still intriguing stuff for sure, like it does kinda interest me Vaggie wants to pick a new name, I-

Lute also, I hadn’t listened to Gravity before because I wanted to see it with the context of the show and yeah it rules so hard. Her being in love with Adam being laid out clear is very cool I like how that recontextualizes the first season, and his last warm smile to her

Emily is so great I love that we’re gonna get more of her, I also already love Abel he’s really fun. I like that his mannerisms do reflect Adam a bit, I think they did a good job with that, I’m curious how him being disliked by Adam is going to continue to play out

Him actually legitimately seeming very welcome in Heaven outside of Lute and kinda Sera I also really like, he’s not in a hostile environment and he does have people that care about him, him missing his friends is the core conflict rather than external things

got someone killed or betrayed somebody for his own gain, but the cowardice and lack of sticking up for other people being his sin I like more. It makes his violent nature with his inventions in Hell feel clearly like him taking a little control in a way he couldn’t in life

Pentious is awesome I just love him. I’m not crazy about human versions of characters but I think they’ve gotten better at those sorts of designs over time and he looked really cute. His life backstory is also interesting, I think it was relatively common to think he personally-

Especially since we also know from the trailer and such that they do head down to Hell again eventually, so what sorts of ways that could play out definitely intrigue me a lot

Then Sera shutting the borders down, obviously Hell and Earth are other realms but it seems implied she was referring to other things too, maybe other types of afterlives? Wonder if we’ll get much more insight into that

It does really really interest me though that Sera is aware of Lilith being up here, it makes sense that she does but I wonder what it really means, and what that could mean for Alastor’s implied connection to Lilith

I’m pretty interested in how Sera’s role in the story is going to go and I really like that the Speaker doesn’t give her answers, despite clearly having vast knowledge and insight. There wouldn’t a point to making choices if the right ones were indicated beforehand, it’s cool

I have many thoughts I’m gonna try and get down, first of all the upgrade in art and animation is stunning, everything looks so lively. With Helluva you can see the change happen over time as they got better and better at it, it’s funny to see it more starkly with Hazbin
