Struggling to get my head around this. We keep being told that it broke even - it cost £300k and took revenue of £122k. The balance was made up of grant funding and sponsorship. That's subsidised.

Polls suggest that Nigel Farage is heading for 10 Downing Street on a vote share of just 30%. It beggars belief that Labour is still committed to an outdated, undemocratic voting system that would see the hard right stroll into government on a minority of the vote.

Politico: "Reform UK Deputy Leader Richard Tice confirmed “no decisions have been made” about council tax rate hikes affecting counties his party runs but guessed most of them would be roughly “the rate of inflation.”"

Reform pledged to freeze or even cut council tax. They lied to voters here.
