How are you protecting Medicaid because I've heard reports you are talking about privatization. The Colorado sun reports you are cutting dental, home care, and doctors reimbursements. Any shift of coverage will affect patients but also shift those costs to others. If TABOR is the issue then what? TY

By trump 1 I was disabled but I had Medicaid. I became an advocate of stroke, of endometriosis, of mental health. But I watched as we lost more and more people. They died from lack of care, committed suicide, or died because they decided to stop care so they weren't a burden on their families. 🧵

Before the ACA our neighbors across the street had an adult son with downs and they worked hard to support him. One day the ambulance showed up, dad had a massive heart attack. Exactly one year later we watched as they packed up their home because they lost everything. Good people now gone. 🧵

I'm old enough to have lived before the ACA and people died and went bankrupt all the time. I was not disabled then but had to beg a Dr to not put my kid #1 autism diagnosis in their health records so we wouldn't lose insurance for my family of 3. It was a dark time.🧵

And that's not even the physical effects of lack of basic necessities over time. This is purely the toxic vibes we have to deal with every day. Our brains are just not built for long-term stress.

As a former professional poker of brains I can tell you brains cannot take this level of psychic toll over time. We have already seen the effects of this with a rise in mental and physical health conditions. It starts as chronic and then turns acute (sudden heart attacks and strokes etc).

This is beyond dangerous, it's deadly. No one who is not a medical doctor should be giving out medical advice and even then you should always consult your own doctor

Also interesting how they will hand over fists full of cash yet are terrified of paying more in taxes that would actually go towards the same things. Recently I unlocked a new fibro nerve symptom and just in time for Halloween. It's on the side of my right foot under the ankle bone, I kid you not, it feels like someone is blowing cold air on my foot. Socks, shoes, under blankets, doesn't matter, it's there.
