This is brutal truth. Life got easy. And we got bored. And Trump gave us something to vehemently love or hate, which filled our time.

All this to say we’ve become too stupid to govern ourselves. Whatever it was: social media, instant news, our brains are shot. Trump is the “Ow My Balls!” show.

I want to congratulate our so-called Founding Fathers on being the most overblown, overrated fuckups the world has ever seen. You left us with a half-assed document that any skilled demagogue could drive a Mack truck through, hoping better angels would come save us.

Can we be honest about that deal? It was perhaps better then not having a deal, but what Iran wanted out of it was sanctions relief while perfecting enrichment capabilities that would allow it to spin up a nuke in a matter of a few weeks, if ever necessary. It was never actually a good deal.

The Saudis were ready to sign a security agreement with Israel. At very least they’ve been willing to have peace in the region.

This is a story people should follow. The link between Russia and Trump, and all our jokes about him being a Manchurian candidate, may actually go through Jeffrey Epstein. He could have originated the blackmail material we keep thinking Russia has. And Russia has deep pockets to obtain it.

If you wanted something like this to pass a 6-3 scrutiny, you should have been voting for a president and senate that would give you the court you would need. Now we’re all fucked for decades.

Iran isn’t Venezuela. One has a very serious military infrastructure, while the other has literally no infrastructure.

Again, if you were an impoverished Iranian today, would you concern yourself with the strident anti-war views of someone on the other side of the planet? I wouldn’t.

I don’t know. I just feel like saying “my allegiance to anti-war views in all cases are what stands between you and a chance at a better life” does not feel like a better approach. There has to be some nuance there.

This is what frustrates me so much about the far left. Their performative morality continuously hurts real people.

That’s not my choice. My choice is to vote for what I want in the primaries and then vote to at least minimize damage in the general. Because I’m a grown up. If others choose not to be, then I’ll think of their self-directed misery from a safe distance somewhere in Portugal.
