TACO TRUMP

Talks so much shit about people when they're not in front of him.

Typical bully.

I’m such a huge Nyman fan, I actually bought the soundtrack cd of Gattaca. Three decades later and I’m still the only person I know that did that. #music #movies

The voice of 90s Urban radio concert promo was a man named Brian Summers. He voiced every black artist tour+Al Haymon’s shows. A friend and mentor. He died of AIDS months before AZT was found to prolong life.

On hikes, I sometimes think of him and put on his favorite music. Today is Michael Franks.

Just how good are Nvidia GPUs, and why should China never get access to them?

My old Acer laptop with a 4gb RTX 3050 interpolates 60fps video at 9.1x. My sparkling new 16gb M4 Mac Mini interpolates the same video at 2.14x.

The fastest CPU in the world can’t come close to the weakest mobile RTX.

I think we understand the short term risks.

But longer term, it puts every issue effectively up to referendum. Every election will be about creating, ending, or saving something. That will make voter participation and attention to issues soar. Seems like a really good thing.

Democrats ended the shutdown, and now Mike Johnson has to swear in the final vote to bring the Epstein File discharge petition to the floor.

Don't think for a second Republicans are happy Democrats did this.

11.11.2025 05:56 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Why are you so upset about ending the shutdown?

When those premiums quadruple, who do you think will get the blame? The people who tried to stop it or the people who openly advocated for it?

As a Democrat, I’m tired of always having to protect Republican voters from themselves. Fuck them.

Trump is trying to find a way to give Americans a $2000 dividend as a way to force the Supreme Court to uphold his illegal tariffs, knowing those can’t be pulled back.

I know Gavin’s physical attributes have been a big part of his lifetime success, but he has what young males want. And if that’s what it takes to bring young men back from the abyss, I’ll gladly take it.

My fear is young Dems will tank him because he looks like the embodiment of privilege.

I know people are angry with Schumer et al for giving up way too much to end the #shutdown, but once Trump started literally starving millions of vulnerable Americans, it became paramount that they be rescuedβ€”even over health care.

If the electorate can’t see this, then we’re doomed anyway.

10.11.2025 04:51 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Something else: Back around 2015, I predicted this would ultimately bring about single payer health care. GOP would make ACA so painful and expensive, thinking it would move us back to pre-ACA, that in fact, bipartisan support for Medicare For All would skyrocket.

GOP malice will be why we get M4A.

10.11.2025 01:13 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

The reason is twofold:

1) Trump just wants to erase what’s left of Obama’s presidency, and

2) Republicans really want to go back to the prison of employer-provided health care.

10.11.2025 01:09 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I mean, what do you do when you’re dealing with a side that simply doesn’t care if everybody starves and dies? Premiums go up if we stay shut down. They go up if we reopen and vote. If planes fall from the sky, they don’t care. If kids die of cancer, they don’t care.

Republicans just don’t care.

If you’re flying internationally, it may be better to fly direct to another country, if possible. Our hubs are fucked right now. So Austin->LAX->Tokyo might be better off as Austin->Mexico City->Tokyo.

This was literally today on X. There’s just no way we let young men out there tune in to this shit and not try to go where they are to offer a better way. We have to talk to the enemy. Not to convince them. But to convince the ones just tuning in who aren’t yet our enemy.

06.11.2025 17:49 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Maybe the collective national trauma of Trump v2 will ensure Democratic majorities for awhile. We don’t have to change who they are. We just have to repeatedly beat them. That means not demanding purity of all our candidates, understanding some can’t win in certain places etc.

Not going to happen. He’s hired all those agents to intimidate you, not kill you. Just don’t let them intimidate you.

Shit, these people wear masks because they’re afraid of getting doxed, yet somehow they’re going to find the warrior courage to flip a coin to decide their freedom?

06.11.2025 02:14 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

That’s a huge gamble for a 50/50 outcome at best. Not even close to 50/50. Would you flip a coin for your freedom or your life? How many of those agents have families with no interest in an almost certain-to-fail coup attempt that would cost them everything?

It’s not going to happen.

That part of the GOP makes up about 35% of the country. You really think that 35% is going to risk their lives to try to hold back the other 65%?

I think he *thinks* they’re a police force.

So what’s their mandate going to be? Trump wants to stay in power in violation of the Constitution, so you’re going to have to beat or kill American citizens for him?

Not going to happen.
