What’s it going to take to get voters to understand YOU DON’T WAIT UNTIL ELECTION DAY TO VOTE!

Republicans do corrupt shit. Vote early. That way you can come back later, if necessary.

They are 100% going to do this on election night. It’s guaranteed. VOTE EARLY.

Of course. He wants radicalized rural voters voting and less city elites.

Maybe it’s just that a lot of liberals are generally not combative people.

The only solution I see to making amends with the world is to send this administration to The Hague. We have to let the world know we won’t protect them, even though we’re not signatories. @chrismurphyct.bsky.social @wyden.senate.gov @aoc.bsky.social

God, it’s hard to believe this song is 43 years old. I still remember it hitting the radio like it was yesterday.

The Republican Party could put a stop to this any time they wanted, but they are more afraid of one rambling old man than of committing our country to pariah status.

The pain Americans will feel from GOP cowardice will last decades.

What actions would Trump do differently if his only goal was to turn us into a pariah state?

I can’t think of one thing he could do differently.

This is brutal truth. Life got easy. And we got bored. And Trump gave us something to vehemently love or hate, which filled our time.

All this to say we’ve become too stupid to govern ourselves. Whatever it was: social media, instant news, our brains are shot. Trump is the β€œOw My Balls!” show.

I want to congratulate our so-called Founding Fathers on being the most overblown, overrated fuckups the world has ever seen. You left us with a half-assed document that any skilled demagogue could drive a Mack truck through, hoping better angels would come save us.

Dumbfucks. Every one of them.

Those of us who were in the concert business throughout the 80s and 90s knew what Live Nation was trying to do would ruin the industry. Few things were so obvious. Our Congress failed us by not blocking every component of Azoff’s monopolistic strategy.

My god, he never had any strategy. The Iranian people are going to be hung out to dry.

Kill 30,000 protesters in the month of January, and people are going to cheer your demise.

And that’s somehow different from Iran using the houthis to conduct strikes against the Saudis?

01.03.2026 22:43 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Can we be honest about that deal? It was perhaps better then not having a deal, but what Iran wanted out of it was sanctions relief while perfecting enrichment capabilities that would allow it to spin up a nuke in a matter of a few weeks, if ever necessary. It was never actually a good deal.

The Saudis were ready to sign a security agreement with Israel. At very least they’ve been willing to have peace in the region.

This is a story people should follow. The link between Russia and Trump, and all our jokes about him being a Manchurian candidate, may actually go through Jeffrey Epstein. He could have originated the blackmail material we keep thinking Russia has. And Russia has deep pockets to obtain it.

I think Anthropic’s position was that its use in weapons system had to require human intervention. It couldn’t be used in autonomous systems.

And we haven’t even touched the subject of USAID, which Trump campaigned on ending. The suffering just from that alone is unconscionable.

You think that matters to someone fighting cancer today and needs those coupons to survive?

Again, fight for the things you want. Protect the things you have. It’s not hard when you stop making your politics mostly performative.

He tried, and the Supreme Court thwarted him, so he tried againβ€”much to the screams of Republicans.

If you wanted something like this to pass a 6-3 scrutiny, you should have been voting for a president and senate that would give you the court you would need. Now we’re all fucked for decades.

Iran isn’t Venezuela. One has a very serious military infrastructure, while the other has literally no infrastructure.

Again, if you were an impoverished Iranian today, would you concern yourself with the strident anti-war views of someone on the other side of the planet? I wouldn’t.

Not having millions lose their health insurance sure seems to me like something worth voting for.

It doesn’t to you?

Didn’t seem to work with Biden trying to cancel student loans.

Sure does seem like you’re only as good as your last failure with those people.

Meanwhile, how are they in any way better off today? We’ll both be dead before our country gets back to where we were just 15 years ago.

01.03.2026 20:56 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I don’t know. I just feel like saying β€œmy allegiance to anti-war views in all cases are what stands between you and a chance at a better life” does not feel like a better approach. There has to be some nuance there.

So you sit out an election where the Republicans, if they win, will refuse to fund Obamacare subsides and kick tens of millions of people of their health care?

This is what frustrates me so much about the far left. Their performative morality continuously hurts real people.

Disappeared bodies, mass burials and β€˜30,000 dead’: what is the truth of Iran’s death toll? Testimony from medics, morgue and graveyard staff reveals huge state effort to conceal systematic killing of protesters

30,000 protestors killed by Khamenei last month and you think Iranians are willing to keep him in power because they’re upset by a fraction of unintended deaths in his ouster?

That’s how someone who lives a comfortable life in a safe country would think.

That’s not my choice. My choice is to vote for what I want in the primaries and then vote to at least minimize damage in the general. Because I’m a grown up. If others choose not to be, then I’ll think of their self-directed misery from a safe distance somewhere in Portugal.
