VA Research Funding Slashed Though not as prominent as the NIH, VA researchers play a major role in advancing basic health science. Hundreds of projects have been cut.

A great thread and post on the haphazard and damaging cuts to science. These cuts are not how efficiency will be achieved.

Anyone else in PA not able to get through to Dave McCormick's office? All of his numbers go to the same system that eventually just disconnects you no matter what you do.

Then do something! This is a constitutional crisis in the making.

Hello new #Neuropsych followers! I am an Associate Professor at @upenn.bsky.social, where my research focuses on cognitive functioning in PTSD, cannabis use, and HIV, and I try to use psychometrics to improve our assessments. I also direct the Neuropsych Fellowship at the Philly VA.

In this newly published paper we took another step along the road to a developmentally informed expansion of HiTOP

We used very big samples and very broad assessment to map a symptom-level model of the structure of psychopathology in youth!

Michael Mina has argued for rapid tests to be a guide to this. According to him, once that is clear on two tests over two days, your risk of transmitting is very very low.
