The singular Pete Alonso moment for me came during one of his Home Run Derby wins, where he absolutely smoked one of the children in the outfield with a 700mph line drive and when the camera cut back to him he was absolutely vibing with his airpods in, completely in the Golden Retriever Zone.

You know when you walk by a Golden Retriever and it looks at you with an expression that's like "hell yeah man we're on the sidewalk, how sick is that." I feel like that is broadly Pete Alonso's approach to being a Met, and that is the biggest part of why I'm glad he's back with the team.
