It’s not about personalities. every PM lab/Tory since the Leeds metro proposed in the 1930s has failed to prioritise mass transit in Leeds. And we’ve only got more centralised. It shouldn’t have to rely on Andy Burnham PM (who btw opposed bus franchising until a local passenger campaign forced him)

Today, we’re delivering hundreds of letters to councillors across West Yorkshire.

We're asking them to support our call for a tram network that serves every part of the region, not just the Leeds-Bradford corridor.

Leeds and West Yorkshire is now, hopefully, 40 years on finally about to start work on the latest iteration of a rail based mass transit scheme that would end the conurbation's dubious honour of being Europe's largest without a mass transit system.

Ah, what might have been! c.1988 & the doomed attempt to re-introduce mass transit to Leeds & West Yorkshire that will, hopefully, soon start to be redressed. The conurbation is, arguably, Europe's largest without such a public transport syste. #leeds #transport

Ian Paul keeps saying this and I need to be really clear here: it is untrue.

The judgement made about the altar frontal at St Nick's did NOT set a precedent. It was solely about our specific application and our specific altar frontal. It has absolutely no bearing on any other church.
