3 good things I am grateful for today

1. Finishing book 18 in the #DCIKett books by Alex Smith. Love this series, although it really makes me not want to live in Norfolk. Bad things happen there!
2. Satisfaction from using a jet wash on the patio.
3. Realising I don't have Sunday night scaries because its the school hols!

Same, can't remember their names but I know exactly which seat they sat in!

1. Doing sun salutations during my yoga practise, forgot how much I like them but cant do them properly. Yet.
2. Walking with OH DD1 and dogs today, exploring Beacon Hill Country Park
3. Watching 'In Bruges' after just visiting. Funny film made funnier because I recognise everything!

1. Sitting in my sunny garden reading a book
2. Great yoga session
3. Cooking a lovely garlicky tomatoey chicken pasta with garlicky green beans. Been ages since I've cooked something and enjoyed it

I am always aware of my larynx on the first day back after not talking much for weeks. It takes a few days to stop aching by the end of the day.

1. Spending the day with my partner teacher gossiping, walking, and enjoying.
2. Lovely stuffed jacket potatoes for dinner
3. Guessing correctly on Destination X!

Same, first episode I wasn't sure about at all but I enjoyed last night's. It's still not Traitors tho but I'll stick with it

3. Having a chance to start a new DCI Kett novel by Alex Smith. 18th in series, and I love them. Spent the whole Eurostar journey back engrossed.

2. More wandering around Bruges looking at buildings and geocaches
3. Belgian waffles and chocolate!!!!!

1. Exploring Bruges, seeing beautiful architecture and lots and lots of chocolate shops
2. Umbrellas! Got caught in the rain on a canal boat trip!
3. Geocaching, haven't done it in years but loving revisiting it today.

Had things to be grateful for in the last 2 days except for time and memory!
Yesterday - OH birthday
1. that I met this man at the age of 18 and now he is 50. What a wonderful life we have had together
2. for the children he gave me
3. for the lovely meal to celebrate his birthday

I regularly drive past a man (probably slightly older than me) on my way to school and he walks along reading a book. I remember doing that when I was a kid but there is no way I can do that now!

Alrhough I still wish I had a time machine and I could do it all again...

At the end of the year I will no longer be the parent of a teenager. Although they have both been at uni for a while I shall still be sad. All these thresholds of parenting that confirm to me that their childhood is over which makes me bereft but also incredibly proud...

I don't want there to no more Pratchett books left to read. DD1 (who I trained into an avid fan) will read it to me on my death bed

I re-read one every year - just finished Monsterous Regiment which I don't think I've re-read at all since it was published. I always go back to my favs (anything Vimesy or witchey) but I'm going to try to branch out a bit. But I still wont read The Shepherd's crown because then I will be done

1. Electrical and plumber fixing annoying things around the house
2. Tidied up my study, which had been doing my head in for months, but I just haven't had time.
3. Finishing the frustrating Harry Potter jigsaw the family has been doing. It was so difficult, I want to burn it!

1. Having DD1&2 together. We went to the cinema to watch #Superman. It was just like when they were little with the 4 of us together ❤️
2. Yoga! Plan is to do yoga everyday of the hols
This was day 1!
3. England winning the Euros! Again!

This is often the issue with many lessons, that there isn't 1 definitive piece of learning but you are absolutely correct with computing. You can't isolate all the learning and thinking that the children do. It's too big for that!

I thought it was great, I loved reliving those times and spotting key points, symbols etc. I sobbed so much at the end, it was so well done. I'm tempted to watch it again!

There are quite a few things that I am not grateful for today but thats why I'm doing this, to focus on the positives to improve my mental health
1. Teaching my old class for the morning, God I miss them...
2. Phase lead buying us cookies!
3. Making lovely panzanella for dinner
