1. Finishing book 18 in the #DCIKett books by Alex Smith. Love this series, although it really makes me not want to live in Norfolk. Bad things happen there!
2. Satisfaction from using a jet wash on the patio.
3. Realising I don't have Sunday night scaries because its the school hols!

1. Doing sun salutations during my yoga practise, forgot how much I like them but cant do them properly. Yet.
2. Walking with OH DD1 and dogs today, exploring Beacon Hill Country Park
3. Watching 'In Bruges' after just visiting. Funny film made funnier because I recognise everything!

2. Great yoga session
3. Cooking a lovely garlicky tomatoey chicken pasta with garlicky green beans. Been ages since I've cooked something and enjoyed it

Yesterday - OH birthday
1. that I met this man at the age of 18 and now he is 50. What a wonderful life we have had together
2. for the children he gave me
3. for the lovely meal to celebrate his birthday

I regularly drive past a man (probably slightly older than me) on my way to school and he walks along reading a book. I remember doing that when I was a kid but there is no way I can do that now!

At the end of the year I will no longer be the parent of a teenager. Although they have both been at uni for a while I shall still be sad. All these thresholds of parenting that confirm to me that their childhood is over which makes me bereft but also incredibly proud...

I re-read one every year - just finished Monsterous Regiment which I don't think I've re-read at all since it was published. I always go back to my favs (anything Vimesy or witchey) but I'm going to try to branch out a bit. But I still wont read The Shepherd's crown because then I will be done

This is often the issue with many lessons, that there isn't 1 definitive piece of learning but you are absolutely correct with computing. You can't isolate all the learning and thinking that the children do. It's too big for that!
