Yeah, I really wanted to like it. But the set design and the costume design felt very... off, for this story. And the music... I could have bought in to the melodrama if it felt earned, but it didn't.
When I was in high school, Heathcliff was one of my major literary crushes. And hey, Jacob Elordi is beautiful. I have no qualms with him. I just didn't love the overall aesthetic of the film. It took liberties with the story that I didn't appreciate.
