I’ve had this drawing sitting around for a while. There’s some parts of the drawing that bother me but I figured I would post it as I haven’t posted anything for a long while.
I’m still working, I’m still drawing, the book is still being made and this is another drawing for it. :)

A warhammer 40k plague marine. It is lumbering forward firing a boltgun in one hand with a clenched powerfist on the other arm. It is bloated and daemonic flesh has ruptured through the armour.

40k Plague Marine I teased about last month is finished and varnished!
Really enjoyed painting this one and it was a fairly smooth process from thumbnail to finished painting.

Trench Crusade Heretic Legion launching an assault on an off screen enemy. They are equipped with ww1 clothing, armour and weaponry as well as demonic assistance from large hulking creatures. Some figures float ominously in the skies and conjur artillery bombs to launch at the enemy.

Here's the finished Trench Crusade ink painting I teased a couple of weeks ago!
Was good fun working on this and was a smooth process start to finish.

A baby bear with a walking staff made from a maple branch is on the start of an adventure through a field. Orange butterflies are resting on the staff with dozens of butterflies flying in the background and resting on white flowers.

Beau Bear adventurer, a painting I did last week as a gift.
8 hours in total start to finish, most of it being done in one session with a second session to tighten some areas up.

I quite like it despite being a fairly quick painting, maybe animal adventurers is my new thing?

New Painting!

I found some time to work on this piece a while back while waiting for feedback and new assignments. As an exercise, I wanted to push my creative boundaries, letting myself play with shapes and spontaneity rather than relying too much on a plan.

Graphite drawing of a forest scene. A cedar tree next to a jagged stump on a mossy hill, with the roots exposed and entwined. The foreground consists of soft leaf and grass texture.

Forest study with graphite powder and pencil. It's funny that, in a way, I never really gave graphite a proper chance since I love color so much. Incorporating the powder actually makes it much more enjoyable to me, as it's starts almost like a painting.
